Hello friends! Welcome to the Sew Graceful Policy Page.  I am so happy to offer some of the very best in quilting fabrics, patterns, and books.  In addition you'll find handcrafted and one-of-a-kind items, vintage creations, paper whimsies, and more.  My goal is to provide you with an enjoyable online shopping experience.  I am committed to excellent customer service.  Please take a moment to read my policies and e-mail me with any questions, suggestions, or comments you may have.  If you have any questions regarding an item, please contact me prior to purchase as many items are non-returnable & non-refundable.

 

General Information

 

All fabrics listed are in stock and cut straight from the bolt in a smoke free/pet free environment. 


Measurements

All fabrics are between 44" and 45" wide (approximately 112-114cm) and are 100% cotton unless noted otherwise.  You can order fractional yardage, but the most common cuts are:


1 yard = 36"x44" or about 92cmx112cm

1/2 yard = 18"x44" or about 46cm x 112cm

1/4 yard=9"x44" or about 23cmx112cm.


What is a fat quarter?

The difference between a fat quarter and a quarter yard is that a fat quarter actually gives you more usable fabric.  The fat quarter is cut from a 1/2 yard cut so the dimensions are 18"x22" (approximately 46cmx56cm) versus a quarter yard of fabric which measures 9"x44" (approximately 23cmx112cm).


Fabric Samples

Due to the increasing cost of fabric and shipping expenses (both freight charges for me to receive fabric and the cost of shipping samples), I can no longer ship free sample cuts of fabrics. 


Custom Orders

Please contact us for custom orders prior to purchase.  Full payment is required before the order is processed.  We will notify you with an anticipated shipping date.  Because these items are custom made for you, they are non-returnable and non-refundable.


Methods of Payment

You can now check out directly using a major credit card.  For those of you who like PayPal, you can also choose to checkout via PayPal and use all major credit cards,  e-checks, or instant transfers from a bank account  through PayPal.  You do not have to be registered with Paypal to make payments through them.  Please note if you choose the e-check option in PayPal this is like a normal check and can take 4-5 days to clear.  Payments are due at the time of purchase. 

I'm sorry due to the number of customers who order online and fail to send in a check or money order payment, these payment options are no longer accepted.

International customers--direct credit card payments or PayPal only please.


Sales Tax

 Maryland residents will be charged 6% sales tax on your total order.


Refunds & Exchanges

Of course I want my customers to be happy, but due to the seasonal nature of the fabric business, I am unable to offer any exchanges or returns.  In addition, many of my items are vintage finds, made from vintage materials, one-of-a-kind items, or custom orders.  As such, ALL SALES ARE FINAL, unless a mistake was made on my end (e.g., the wrong fabric is shipped or there is a serious flaw in the fabric prior to washing).  This probably won't happen as I personally check all orders and fabric prior to packaging.  But...if this type of error does occur, rest assured I will take care of you.  No worries.

 

Privacy 

Sew Graceful respects your privacy.  I will never share or sell your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, or any other personal information with any third party without your permission.  I only use the information you provide in order to process your order.

 

Security 

If you choose to checkout using a credit card my website is SSL certified through my host in order to protect your information.  If you choose to checkout using PayPal, your information is processed through PayPal's secure servers and is protected by Paypals SSL encryption technology.  This insures online visitors that credit/debit card account numbers and other personal information cannot be viewed, intercepted, or altered.
